Jeff Hahn

Jeff Hahn arrived in London from Hong Kong on September 14th 2008 to enrol on a BA in Photography at the LCC. Three years later, and now – “like the true stereotype of a London creative!” – based in Hackney, the 24-year-old is already making his mark in fashion.

Hahn’s photography, which he describes as “moody and intimate, colourful and personal”, has been published in Dazed & Confused and i-D, and seen him work with brands including Jonathan Saunders and Versace. But, like personal favourites Corinne Day, Nan Goldin and Ryan McGinley, Hahn is keen to point out he’s “more a photographer working in fashion as opposed to a fashion photographer.”

So, what’s next? “The best thing about what I do is that the future is so unpredictable. You never know where you’ll be next week or what you’ll be shooting… The only thing you know for sure is that you’ll never
be paid on time!”

MY PIONEER HERO: Miranda July
“She’s an incredible multi-disciplinary artist who directs, acts, writes and performs… her work shines
a light on the strangeness of human behaviour. I can’t think of anyone else I admire in all their creative outlets.”
